Great ideas were happening here for a while and then, somebody who really wants to rule the world shows up and puts a stop to it. Somebody who really has a major grudge against anybody who wants anything good for Newburgh. It's a lot like the commitee meetings and city council meetings. But I wish somebody could tell me why this happens. One bad thread on this thing shouldn't stop the good ones. There was real abuse going on and it was stopped openly, not behind the scenes. That shows me that whoever is monitoring cares. Whoever it is that wants to shut up anybody who cares about our hometown obviously has problems and an ax to grind with somebody else. But that shouldn't stop the whole train. I'll never understand why it's so easy to shut down good things around here. It's why Newburgh stays the way it is. Somebody asked why we keep hiring outsiders to come in to run things. I guess this is the answer. Because insiders are too easy to intimidate. Somebody says BOO and everybody runs away. Meantime the whole city goes to hell. When 94 Broadway turns into what used to be the waterfront we can look back to here because this is the diary of failure. Never mind Dallas or Knots Landing. This is Peyton Place. None of those shows are around anymore either. I heard somebody say, Flowers on the streets, lipstick on a pig, same thing. Newburgh. Yep. I guess so. Why?
