I put it to the readers and posters to reply.

The way I remember it this board came when people were being banned from the other board. That board was opened by people who aren't even from Newburgh and didn't want Newburghers to post there. They were too busy fighting law suits against a previous board. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

When things went crazy on this board and accusations included personal attacks that were never proved the board was cleared. The current administrator traced the instigators and everything went quiet for a while. That told me that somebody was tryinglto cause trouble here. Probably because they think this one competes with their little click. Whst ever.

Real good ideas and news started to get put up here and then somebody went personal again in French and the administrator did what should be done by tracing that person too. That not only killed the bad stuff but shut up the good posts too.

It's a lot like the City Council meetings where people get intimidated quick and easy. It doesn't take much to make people run away around here.

If somebody has news or an opinion in this city this still seems to be the best place to get it in the open. Our papers are biased and our givernment is out of touch with reality. All anybody has to do here is show courtesy and respect. That's all.

So what's the problem? And who'slthe dumb ass mentioned in the post?
