Re: Newburgh Advocate & THR coverage of the work session,

In one respect I'd have to side with Bell & Bello on the "No" vote ONLY for the reasons posted here on this board. BUT let me say that IF the FIREFIGHTERS agree to the contract then voting against it is just so much more "monkeys in the barrel" crap from the desks of our City Circus. Personally I'd really appreciate hearing directly from the firefighters. Here would be the perfect place for them to let us know how THEY feel. After all, even the media agrees that boards like these will be shaping politics in the near future. These are the direct voices of the people and not biased, watered down semitruths.

Would the NFD care to tell us heavily over-taxed half-dead citizens what they think of the contract?

As for Nick, he's gutless and should resign. By siding with the B&B he's spiting nobody but the firefighters and the people. Wanting to share applause is childish and inappropriate even if he was kidding (which I doubt).
