What a wonderful idea! Take a walk around town to see what things look like. Our lafaminute government should be mandated to do this and our would be politicians should too. They all have an obvious dissociation with the realities. If ignorance is bliss their stupidity must be heaven.

Maybe folks could use this topic to report on their own area. Like mine out here by the old duPont:

Depressing covers it pretty well. Our trees are gone. It gets hot in summer because all the shade is gone. Night traffic sometimes sounds like Indy races. I remember when we didn't lock our doors and kept windows open at night. We don't do that any more. On the other hand it hasn't gone the way of the east end yet. We can still visit neighbors as long as we're home before dark.

The north end out at duPont is sad. It reminds me of those PBS shows on dead towns or old coal mining towns. I remember when it was alive out there.

But I think I miss all the trees the most. It's just not inviting anymore.
