"Truth Be Told" stars Candace Cameron Bure and David James Elliott

New Mexico is going to be the setting for another made-for-TV movie.

Fox Broadcasting Company announced it is shooting "Truth Be Told" in New Mexico. The movie stars Candace Cameron Bure and David James Elliott.

Cameron Bure is known for playing D.J. Tanner in "Full House." Elliott is best known as Commander Harmon 'Harm' Rabb Jr. in "JAG" and last appeared as Wolfgang "Wolf" West in "Scoundrels," which also was filmed in New Mexico.

The crew has begun filming in locations in Santa Fe, Pojoaque, Santa Clara Pueblo and Albuquerque. Filming will conclude on Jan. 28.

"The production team is expected to hire approximately 150 New Mexicans for the cast and crew," said Angela Heisel, spokeswoman for the state's Economic Development Department said.

The plot focuses on marriage counselor, Annie Morgan, played by Cameron Bure, who believes honesty and love are the keys to successful long-term relationships.

Ironically, Annie has never been married and doesn't always follow her own advice.

When an opportunity arises to discuss hosting a talk show with media mogul Alexander Bishop, played by Ronnie Cox, Annie jumps at the chance.

Through a misunderstanding, she receives an invitation for she and her spouse to join Bishop at his New Mexico ranch. Fearful that being single will wreck her big chance, Annie conspires with Mark Crane, played by Elliott, an old college friend who is a retired professional football player and recent widower, to pose as a married couple with their teenage kids for the weekend.

A weekend filled with a series of comical misunderstandings leaves Annie emotionally involved with Mark and his two teenagers and battling with her own conscience.

The script for "Truth Be Told" is written by Alan Marc Levy and directed by Jonathan Frakes, who directed "NCIS: Los Angeles."

[> Sounds interesting, but is it me, or does she seem a little young for him? I know she has grown up since her "DJ" days, but she's 16 years younger than him. Just sayin'. -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 06:41:37 01/12/11 Wed [1]

[> [> [> I had the same thought. It seems a bit of a stretch for them to be college friends, let alone pose as a married couple. Guess we'll have to wait and see. -- Christa, 07:12:54 01/12/11 Wed [1]

[> [> [> I agree that David looks great for his age, but, let's face it, he doesn't look 35 anymore. Also, can you imagine her at 5'2" and him at 6'4"? I'm excited that he got the part, but I wonder who did the casting. -- Lee, 11:46:12 01/12/11 Wed [1]

[> [> [> i think this would be easier to pull off if she were forty then he might pass for only four years her senior - but I agree - 16 years with a 35 year old and a 50 year old is going to be hard to pull off - maybe he was one of her teachers - you know a grad student? that might work. -- chris k, 13:55:33 01/13/11 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> lol, chrisk!! But,entirely a plausible possibility. When I was 25, i dated my 52 y.o. 'mentor' who was, indeed, my 'friend' first. I was in grad school, not 'college'. But, as my friends pointed out to me when I started dating him -- he LOOKS old -- he is NOT a young 52!!! C'mon, mj -- you're CRAZY. I couldn't see it -- for 2 years! One day, I looked at him and went -- "Oh, Lord!"! And that was the end of that! (Oh, except 3 mo. later I met a really lovely guy who was 6 years younger than me and we started dating and within 4 dates, guess what I found out? -- he was the 52 y.o. guy's SON!!!)!! -- mj, 15:35:52 01/13/11 Thu [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> Oh, it gets worse! How I found out was because 'the son' started telling me (on our 4th date)about his Dad who had been seeing a much-younger woman even though he was ENGAGED to a woman for about 4 years! His Dad and Mom were divorced 10 years ago after his Mom put Dad through medical school and had 5 children with him! The 'son' was waxing on and on about his Dad never changing and that he hoped he wouldn't turn out like him. When he told me what his Dad did, I figured out who he was and that I was 'the much younger woman'. inside -- mj, 13:37:11 01/14/11 Fri [1]

Anyhow, I never told 'the son' who I was and tried to stop seeing him, but he kept calling me and dropping by work to see me and he was a great guy, so I kept on seeing him STILL not telling him. Stupid! Because after we were seeing each other for about 6 months, he asked me to go to a wedding with him -- his Dad's!!!! I THEN told him! He was FURIOUS! AND THEN, guess who called me and chewed me out, too?! He said he figured I would leave him s'day for a younger man but he NEVER dreamed it would be for his much younger SON!! When I tried to tell him I had met his son way after I had broken it off with him and that BY THE WAY, he was ENGAGED the whole time and ALSO, BTW -- look who's talking about much younger?!!-- he didn't and wouldn't listen. He was SO self-absorbed and narcissistic. Whew -- I dodged a few bullets with that situation. Aahh, the good ole days! lol!

[> [> I think DJE looks great for his age, actually, since he slimmed down from his bodybuilding Ironman days. Plus, I think he dyes his hair and that makes him look younger, although, personally, I don't like it when men dye their hair. I guess in his profession, it's more accepted. And with women these days -- honestly, I can't tell ages anymore like I used to! So, somehow, they must think it works. Will be interesting to see if it does. -- mj, 09:14:09 01/12/11 Wed [1]

[> he's an ageless hunk but sadly Hollywood goes for the demographics -inside -- shipper757, 19:37:20 01/12/11 Wed [1]

younger female leads with older actors. That was the joke and complaint about Adam Sandler why he is getting older but his female leads are getting younger and younger. It was also the complain and targeted reviews on Sherlock Holmes that McAdams was too young for him even McAdams again with Eric Bana in that Traveller's wife movie. You cant blame fans on comic book movies wanting the man and woman to look right and have chemistry; that was cries on Batman with Bale and Holmes and now Thor with Portman who looks like a high school girl.
Iron Man did right with Paltrow and Downey Jr. & audiences embraced it.
They are listing the possible castings for Bond and Batman and the audiences are outraged its the usual young females like Scarlett,Hathaway,Blake Lively,Arterton when there are amazing older actresses like Eva Green,Naomi Watts,Rachel Weisz,Theron or unknown older good actresses that are right for the parts.

Age and height matters to me. Sure Im entertained but at most times it is distracting. i.e. Big and Carry looked perfect in Sex and the City but that movie Failure to Launch I agree with audiences noticing how old Sarah Jessica Parker was opposite Matthew McConaughhey. Im tired of the demographics excuse because I want guys like DJE,Jon Hamm not Ryan Phillipe,Channing Tatum and other younger boys.

Same in AW Bell's husband onscreen looks so old for her. IMHO.

[> And Im sorry I felt weird watching Monica's character opposite Tom Selleck in Friends. Few movies can work for me but simply dont so we shall see but this is interesting casting. Good thing its comedy.LOL! -- shipper757, 19:39:05 01/12/11 Wed [1]

[> Although DJE is 50, he doesn't look his age IMHO. In the recent photos that I saw of Cameron, she does look 35 and I think it will be a fun film for the entire family. I don't want to judge it until after it airs. -- Bernadette, 14:53:02 01/13/11 Thu [1]
