But, not matter what side of the fence you sit on with our new Miss Washington, I think it's time we celebrate the achievements of those contestants we'll never see back on the Miss WA stage again. This year we only lost one to aging out. While she only competed in Washington for this year, she was incredible on stage to watch. To Miss Pierce County Alexandria Henderson, thank you for spending your last eligible year here in Washington State. Your vocal skills, poise and ability to support your fellow contestants did not go unnoticed. It was fun to see some previous contestants in the crowd, too and get some updates Thanks to these lovelies below for reminding us of how much you can achieve even if you DON'T win the crown. Tonie Duchemin: photography business is taking off! Alex (Duchemin) Jacobsen: All married and glowingly pregnant (it's a boy!) Elise (Horner) Gebremichael: Completed her MBA and now running her own consulting business in Houston. Her husband is a cutie! Liz (Lacroy) Lamb-Ferro: Just got married and is starting her MBA and working at an ad agency Tamara (Helland) Root: Also starting school and married Alyssa Fennel: only got to see her quickly but she looked great and the guy with her was pretty darn cute! Marcie (Anglen) Hronis: She just got married and is the ED of a local in California Danielle Henry: Well she reminded us once again what an amazing singer she is Kelly Backous: Lovely job with the choreography! I think she just passed her national teaching boards? Or is applying? Kara-Ann Pedrini: Teaching elementary school and looking adorable Shannon Tuohy: Going to medical school in the fall Jackie Mendez: Just completed her MBA and working for a restaurant chain (can't remember which one) in their marketing department Tori Knight: Still in school but looked and sounded great Did I miss anyone? And watching Alexandria at the Teen program, without being watched by judges, glad she didn't get to represent us. >All of the negativity surrounding this year's crowning >is pretty prevalent. > >But, not matter what side of the fence you sit on with >our new Miss Washington, I think it's time we >celebrate the achievements of those contestants we'll >never see back on the Miss WA stage again. > >This year we only lost one to aging out.
