Subject: Exciting first development of KAFP

Attention Kentucky Fitness Professionals:

I just recieved an email from fitness guru Phil Kaplan. He has been silently working with me for the last couple of years giving me assistance in developing the KAFP. At one time, his organization, the American Association of Personal Trainers wanted the KAFP to be their first state chapter. We attempted that at first but it was not going to work in Kentucky.

Now Phil has told me the AAPT has evolved into something more dynamic and what they are offering is a way to increase our academic needs and business skills for the fitness professional.

The AAPT is changing names and I will soon release here what the name change will be. I will be in touch with his business partner Joe Dunkil as of October 1st, 2006 in order to get all the information we will need in order to possibly set up a local workshop for anyone interested.

The KAFP will not charge for the workshop but there will be a fee paid to Phil Kaplan's organization. At this time, I do not know what that will be but I will post it here for eveyone to see and if I have your email address, I will forward that information to you.

This is an exciting first development for us and the fitness industry and will bring us a step closer to having the professional industry we all are looking forward to having.

Have a strong and healthy day.

J.R.Smith
KAFP president
