Cool Norm, my dad has a '61 Ranchero, I love those damn cars.

I've been working steadily on the Postal Jeep (aka: The Heep). I replaced the driver (RIGHT HAND DRIVE) side rocker section with a piece of angle steel, and now I have to replace a section of the roof structure just over the drivers side door, it'll be easy, just messy with all the rust falling out everytime I bump the fucking thing.

The rust on this Jeep is weird. It seems to have much more body rust on the drivers side, yet more chassis rust on the passenger side. I don't get it.

I installed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, hoses, belts, fuel filters, vacuum lines, clamps, etc. All that's left is fresh fuel & a battery. I also lifted the rear with 3" blocks, and going to lift the front by welding 3" steel blocks between the spring mounts and the chassis, since flipping the front axle would nosebleed the thing about 2" too high. Gotta find some better tires for the front. After a battery and fuel, it's on to fiberglassing the rusted body areas. Fuck patch panels, it's just a rusted Jeep, the rust won't ever stop, so fiberglass it is. Then a camo paint job. I was going to build a roof mounted hunting rack with seats, but I don't think I'll have the funds to pay for the steel. I'll need about 100' of 1x1 tubing, and about 20' of angle to complete the job. Too much coin for me. But overall, the little bastard ought to be a good running little Jeep and should look good too.

PS: MONSTER TRUCKS, SAN ANTONIO, JAN 10th-11th. LETS GO!
