Sage advice, Norm. Get to know all you can about the donor car. Fords have a bad habit of using several different components even within the same year and model, depending upon options. It's a pain in the ass. I had a 302 in my 55 Customline that came from an 83 Mustang. They used three different timing covers for that year. For her Edsel, I'd recommend finding an entire donor car, like an old Granada or Crown Vic, then raping it for all available parts like drive train, front suspension (Lincoln Versailles from the mid 70s had 4 wheel disc brakes, btw) cross members, etc.

By the way, Jeremy, I personally don't mind if you chime in on our board. You're always a wealth of information and you're our friend, so I don't see any problem with that. You wouldn't happen to have any SBC block hugger headers lying around would you?
