We'd like to do it in late summer or early fall. Maybe around Septemberish. If we start promoting it now, we should have a good turn out by then. I think Norm may be onto something with the "Git On Yer Soapbox" thing. (although we may want to shorten the rest a bit). I think, to make it a bit less litigious, we should limit the race to ages 14 and up. I don't even want to imagine the law suits if some 8 year old smacks a curb with his head. At least at 14 they have SOME coordination. 13 and under are just like little drunk people.

We should have the word "Charity" in there somewhere. We had talked about supporting a children's charity with a portion of the proceeds. How about the "Git on yer soapbox for charity" or something like that? I'm just throwing ideas out there.

We do need to think of a name for the event pretty soon so I can start plugging it. We can always say that it's coming up and to get your cars ready. We'll give you more info as the date gets closer.

Help me out, fellas. Give me feedback. JB, try to get the Corpus boys involved, too. We need to brainstorm a bit.
