Subject: Mockin' up around here...

Here's what I did today, besides getting locked out of the house and falling into the bathtub from the bathroom window. Got the two new tabs welded to the tank for the rear mount, kept cleaning up the frame a bit. It's coming along, but there's still a lot I wanna do to it. I never thought that I'd spend this much time on a freakin' frame, but I guess it's because I don't want it to look like total shit because it's gonna be seen. I wanna fab up some scallop gussets for the sharp corners, but I'm gonna have to photoshop it first to make sure that's what I wanna do. That in itself is gonna be a day's worth of work. It's hard to fab things that looks worth a shit with just a grinder, chop saw, bench grinder, and a wire feeder. Still gotta fab up the license plate & taillight mounts. Man, I didn't expect this to be this much work.

Afermarket 3.1 gallon sportster tank, aftermarket 13ga round fender for a 130 tire.

Still not quite sure that this hardtail looks right...

Still needs the front seat bracket, seat spring crossmember, and a few frame cover plates...

This flake's gonna look nice when I get it shot, red flake base, white scallops, black outline, with b&w pinstriping. Found some matching red flake vinyl for the seat, which will also have a white scallop, black stitching.

Had to cut all of this area out, and recreate it for the front tank mount.

The powerplant. 650cc's of 4-cylinder fury!! Working good now, still in a thousand pieces. End result is the plack you see on the pile of parts on the right, with a stainless bolt kit.
