Subject: Sanibel In October?

OK - we had to change our plans to visit Sanibel in October instead of June. We have always been in June & I love it at that time - So what is it like in mid-Ocotber?
Weather?
Crowds?
Businesses Open?
I assume it is still warm enough for biking, etc.?
Would love to hear about the island that time of year.
I sure hope I can last until mid-October. That is SO far away!
