Sanibel is awesome in October! You will just love it!! I have gone in October several tiems, and must say it is probably my favorite time to go. There are no crowds, most of the businesses are still open, and some of the restaurants have 2-for-1 deals (but then this may be a year round thing?). The weather is simply beautiful. It has not been cold any time that I have gone in Oct. The water is still warm enough to play in, and the bugs take a hike in October, so maybe you will miss them too! Biking is wonderful. The warm breeze is so refreshing. You will love it, I'm sure!
