Thinking about Barrons and thought of the time V'Lane offered Mac the bracelet for protection. Could this be the same kind of bracelet that Barrons wears? Is this what protects Barrons from the Shades? Barrons knows V'Lane.

I think except for Vlane, the cuffs show the clan or rank (Adam) in your clan. The cuffs might have been for display but I think they had a purpose in telling others who you were. Sounds good anyway....

Could it be that the cuffs, etc. could show what clan & what rank within your clan you were? I know on the 4 house princes, the torque showed a prince (ie gold torque Adam). It makes sense to me that the cuffs could declare clan & rank. Didn't it mention in fever that JB had a black & silver torque? Could that show a "lesser" prince or show rank higher than regular people but not a Prince? I don't know if I am making sense, this is a thought forming in my mind and it is not complete yet.

Didn't Gueen A turn Darroc into a mere mortal? I haven't gone back and read yet to see if I am right. Maybe somebody knows and can save me the trouble of looking. If she did turn him into a mortal, how did he get the powers back? If he did gain powers back, why couldn't Adam (even with a soul)?
