My Lord Yawgmoth has disappeared. The Phyrexians refuse to say where he is, or what has become of him. They keep their distance from the Sov, and only Helpful remains to assist with the twins. They are near though, and I have but to call. Tis well and good, for all that has come about.
A young woman came to the Sov..riding up on her horse half scared out of her wits. She duped Rose into believing that her family had been attacked by bandits, and she had narrowly escaped. Lucas and I both believed it as well at first, for we too, had been attacked in the hills near the Sov. Her story was false however, and she caused much havoc in the house, from powdering Roses pillow to leaving a few traps. Lucas caught her, but not before a fight.
What was to come as the biggest surprise, was who she worked for. Apparently its me.
I had heard rumors that Spade had taken over the Den a few years ago..had even heard gossip she was posing as me. It seems now, that this is true, and she has been profiting greatly from my name and reputation.
I was angry at first..and then somewhat amused. I am more than impressed with what she has accomplished..but how can I let this pass without collecting what is my rightful part?
It would replenish my empty coffers, and provide my girls with something outside of Phyrexia.
This is not to mention, that there is a price on Lucas' head, and the only one that knows who is behind it..is my little Cricket/Spade.
The assassin disposed of, I am lucky the weather held cold enough to preserve her a few days.
I sent her back to the Den with a message...and wholly unintentional on my part, the Den and Ox along with it. Rose was not happy with me in the least. Now I have foolishly promised her I would find the brute, and bring him back. I had not the heart to tell her he is probably dead by now. I suppose she knows already though.
My message has been delivered..the twins and Rose have been sent back to Phyrexia for safety, and Lucas and I now are on our way to an eastern port, where we will find his ship.
He has said they will require a few days in a brothel, but that will give me chance to search for Quinn.
I have not told Lucas my plan in asking for Quinns help..I am not sure how he is going to take another lady captain. He has a rather..spicey past where they are concerned.
Be that as it may, that is my plan, to find Quinn and together, travel to Rhy'Din.
What better way to bring Spade out of her hole than to dangle the elusive Lucas in front of her?
I do not believe she will cooperate, though I hold out hope she will see reason.
I do not look forward to the cold trip ahead, nor the voyage ahead of that, nor our final destination. I truly dread the idea of returning to the Den and those dirty streets..but I will have what is mine and I will help Lucas dispose of his little problem as well.
I need to get in touch with Laegyn. I hope he can be of a little assistance should my first plans fail.
