Laura and Bette have gone with them. I seek them out every evening, and I find only dark little giggles and delight. This eases my heart, for I so fear for their safety, but I know that their connection with me is unbroken and that if anything is wrong, I will know. I never got to see Khaless. Eiradium met us instead. He has grown so tall in manhood and seems very capable. I feel the madness of his Uncle upon him though, and I wonder how much it has spread into him. He is an angry youth, but one that seems to have a grip on it. Who of us is not angry at our lost innocence? I trust my twins will save theirs for some time to come. I have spent the last weeks in finding a home, and have come to the realization that I need to find another servant as well. The latter will prove to be more difficult than the former, for good help is very hard to find. Meg has stayed with Luke until I return, and there has been no word from Aloysius. Even if he does not come back for her, I believe a friend and companion would bring some thing of a smile to her face again. She misses the twins nearly as much as I do myself.
