Subject: Dark Question: August 6th

When a vampire reaches a certain age, and his life becomes more of a labor than a pleasure...when life has lost its luster and he finds himself wandering the Earth alone...most choose to finally find their peace. Most eventually search for a way to rest, and let their old lives pass away.

Now there are only three ways for a vampire to die...being murdered, starvation, or sunlight. And embracing the sun willingly is called a 'Sun Quest'. It is, in the vampire system of beliefs, a way to search for new adventures in the next life, or in the next world. It is celebrated with friends and acts as a good way for them to say goodbye.

The question is...would you do it? What do you believe would happen, when you were exposed to daylight for the first time in over a century? Would it bring you peace? Would it be a depressing suicide? Do you expect to enter an 'afterlife', or do you just cease to exist?

As a vampire, I assume these things would seem very different from your perspective. If it was your time to go, would you do it? Or would you continue on?
