Although Justin tries to maintain some humanity and civility, he has a LOT more powers at his disposal. Cyrus is more ruthless, cold and brutal, but his only weapons seem to be his shape-shifting and his lack of care for those outside his pack.

With all of Justin's extras, I don't think (assuming Justin knows what he's fighting) that Cyrus would even get close to him. But I suppose it would also depend on circumstances. If Cyrus were trying to hurt Taryn...Justin would flat out cut him in half. But I think that would be true if Justin were trying to hurt one of Cyrus's pack also. Cyrus would give everything to protect them.

In the end, it's my humble opinion, that Justin just has too many powers to be killed by a big dog.
