[> as far as I know Julie is still teaching with SEM. She is also a full time secondary school teacher so I don't think she does all the classes... just the MK ones. Well done for passing first time! -- X-SEM, Wed, Sep 19 2007, 8:51:39 [1]

[> yep this is what I heard too. Although I think it's weird that they've not even posted a 'well done' to her on their website, let alone announced whether she'll be teaching with them. Knew she'd passed and had brilliant training with them, but assumed from the lack of announcement that she'd moved on -- previous poster, Wed, Sep 19 2007, 23:50:52 [1]

[> [> Possibly they want to delay the announcement to choose better moment for it, if she is officially added to the crew dancers can transfer out freely which can be controlled if they decide to do it late enough for dancers to miss some majors if they transfer -- just a theory!, Thu, Sep 20 2007, 0:04:06 [1]

[> [> [> She must be officially added to the crew, as you put it, as soon as she has passed and the exam and teaches another class. As that appears to have been some time ago I assume all dancers were advised of their options and the "ban window" has now passed -- unless she moved on, Sat, Sep 22 2007, 13:22:28 [1]

[> [> she doesn't have to be taking her own classes. If she teaches any class, even just as an assistant then she is deemed to have joined the school and they must advise all dancers of the change of status. As soon as they do that the transfer window opens, so they've probably done it already -- Anyone know?, Sat, Sep 22 2007, 13:54:07 [1]

[> doesn't this rule only apply to a 'registered teacher'? Or does passing the exam mean you are automatically registered? -- ??, Sat, Sep 22 2007, 14:26:43 [1]

[> [> A qualified TCRG still has to be registered, by paying their registration fee. That doesn't mean they are not recognised as a new TCRG in the school. As far as AC are concerned the only difference between Registered and non-registered is that their dancers cannot compete under their name The full rule is inside and you should note it just says Teacher not Registered Teacher. In all of the other rules relating to TCRG it specifically refers to Registered, so I assume this rule covers non-registered TCRG as well. As with most CLRG rules, it isn't 100% clear -- any views?, Sat, Sep 22 2007, 14:56:53 [1]

3.1.9
A pupil is not subject to the Transfer Rule (6 months) where there is a change of status within the class i.e. where a new or another teacher commences teaching under the name of that school, or where a teacher leaves a school. In this situation, the pupil will have ONE opportunity within a one-month period to decide on their choice of dancing school. His/her teacher will
inform the pupil of this in writing and a copy of the letter will be sent to An Coimisiún or other relevant authority.

[> And I spoke to some Milton Keynes parents who do know who she is, and according to them she has taken a break for a while to concentrate on a promotion at work. At present she is only teaching dancing as an extra curricular activity in her school. -- maybe we'll hear more in the future..., Sun, Sep 23 2007, 16:09:47 [1]
