 While I understand that everybody wants more, Take a look around you- Police depts. are laying off. Dont thay do a tough job?? Dont they work 24 hours a day, on holidays and weekends?? County screws are being forced to take 13 unpaid days a year, and they do the exact same job that we do. How can you possibly compare the economy of the early 90s to the economy today?!? A maxed out screw will be making 72K a year with this new proposal. Walk into any bar and start complaining about how you are only making 72K a year and see how much sympathy you get. I work at SBCC and have 13 years in. Ive seen alot of flying shit and piss over those years, and despite how bad things are there, I am more than happy with the offer on the table. The 90s are over.
