 You know it's funny that when all of the assaults were taking place at CJ, where was Kenneway? He was coddling his Route 2 constituency because he doesn't get the CJ vote, but now that the bad boys have moved to where his voting base works, the sky is falling! It sounds like Steve Kenneway doesn't have too much faith in SBCC officers. Well I do have faith in SBCC officers, because there is no difference between the CO's that work at SBCC and the CO's that work at CJ. The SBCC officers will sharpen their response skills, tighten up their searches for home brew and weapons and get on top of things there. It's a well built facility with great staff. I've had the pleasure of working with them on the tactical team throughout the years. Steve Kenneway does not have faith in the abilities of the SBCC staff, but the rest of the department does! Stay strong and stay safe. You guys and gals will cover each others backs like we did at CJ for years. Don't worry Steve, your votes are safe, I just want to let you know that I can see through your rhetoric. Let the staff do their jobs and stop your embarassing quotes about the inmates running SBCC, because the staff are FULLY in charge!

From the Herald:

Steve Kenneway, president of the Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union, said the numbers are misleading.

“The inmates are running the facility,” he said. “This administration will not admit that (double bunking) is a bad idea. They will not admit it’s a bad plan.”

Kenneway said the union plans to take legal action next week to fight the double-bunking policy.
