Subject: A thank you message from the new President

My beloved townmates,

To all who attended the Picnic and Dinner-Dance, and to those who participated in the election of the officers of the Cuyapo Association-USA, thank you so much for a wonderful time. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for intrusting your vote of confidence in me as your new President. I'll do my best not to disappoint you.

With your support, and the wisdom, and the guidance from "Above," nothing can stop us from achieving our goals. Congratulations to the rest of the elected officers. I believe we can do the job.

In retrospect, I would like to thank the overwhelming hospitality of Jesus and Palen Antonio in hosting yet another picnic after the picnic at the park at their residence. What a wonderful evening! What a wonderful night for "Cuyapenos;" a version of our town fiesta back home.

Thank you for the unsung heroes who in one way or another have helped in the success of the celebrations. They volunteered themselves in grilling under the scorching heat of the sun, some directed the games, election, decoration, picnic set-ups, picture taking, clean ups , just to mention a few; you guys are great. Thanks!

Thank you also for the "Out of States" townmates who graced the celebrations, and who sacrificed their treasured time and effort just to join their fellow "Kababayans" for a memorable event to be treasured and remembered down memory lane. Hope you enjoyed!

Thank you to all the advertisers in our souvenir program. Although some of you were not present during the affair, your "AD" gave meaning, color and a positive vision towards the goals of the Association. Congratulate yourselves!

And thank you for my fellow graduates of batch 1960 who voluntarily shared the cost of the publicity of our graduation book in a two page "AD." Your loyalty to your "Alma Mater" is second to none. Way to go batch 60!

It is just the beginning of a journey of the "Cuyapo Association-USA with the newly elected officers. Have confidence... Remember, a single stick easily breaks. Tied together, it's hard break.

Let us all work as one family; "all for one and one for all"
