Hi All,

Thanks to everybody on (and off) this board I finally solved the mystery of the ship that my uncle served on. It was the SS Hardwicke Grange sunk by U-129 on June 12, 1942. I discovered that my uncle had joined the ship at Newport News on June 2 1942 and that his previous ship was the George Washington.

Yet again this board has come to my rescue...Thank you all.

Patrick
