Eddie,
I wasnt going to reply to this as i am not in for any bad realations with any one here on site, but i cant just sit and not say anything.
In reply to your post and mentioning "someone" who i know full well is me,let me just say this.
I joined the MN as many here when very young, and enjoyed every minute of it,wether it was for a year ot twenty years matters not Eddie,i still served with the best!
If you have a gripe about anything Eddie then thats your problem,i havent said and wont say anything nasty towards you as i think that is just getting down to your level.
Yes i call myself a Seaman just as all who served at Sea,be it 1 Month or a lifetime!
To degrade anyone with comments like that doesnt make you much of a person, and i feel sorry for you.
Anyway i left the MN for the opportunity to join the RAF and was really happy there too,and did my training and Service for King and Country (yes we were still under British Rule)
As for the Medal, well all Merchant Seaman are entitled to that Medal mate! So put that in your hat!
Curry recipes, not that i can recall posting any on site (have sent some to mates!)are lovely anyway,so whats your problem!
Get real !!
And try and have a good day he he!!!
What a laugh!!
