In reply to: Dr. Stanton R. Jazzercise 's message, "Re: Shave?!?!?!?!?!" on 12:04:34 05/31/01 Thu

I think your mind is horrifying.

You don't have any more intelligence than a twelve year old boy. You deserve to be held down and forcibly shaved all over. You probably look so atrocious that you need to hide behind your big hairy pelt on your chest and call it your "Male Birth Right" to feel masculine and attractive.

There are plently of men from other cultures that have hardly any hair at all on their bodies, naturaly, simply because they come from a different ethnic background. Are they "less masculine" or something?

Zisel, I think that we were really discussing an aspect of American culture and not concerning the amount of hair the different ethnicities can grow. I concede that this thread, started by someone calling themselves "Dr. Stanton R. Jazzercise", may indeed be the product of someone who is not entirely serious about the thread. I mean that the good doctor is probably not really as upset as he portrays himself to be. The hyperbole and sarcasm that I imagine him delivering his words with may be only in my mind, though...who knows?

But I don't think you need to get that upset at him, in any case. If he is having some fun, then don't take it too seriously. Don't give him the satisfaction. If he is really serious, then you should not attack him. If he really is disturbed by the shaving trend he sees but is also having a bit of fun, then who are we to fault him? Really. I want to keep it peaceful in here. Okay?

No, you know what, Anthony, you're right:

I should try and bend over to the ground-scraping level of the "Good Doctor's" suggestions so I can understand them better. I should struggle to unearth the deep and profound richness of his insight and keep my eyes and ears peeled for more of his sparkling wit. What the hell was I thinking? Passing up free wisdom? Shame on me!

p.s. I'm not really upset but I am sure having alot of fun insulting the Good Doctor. feel free to delete this post if you feel that anything I have said is unnecessary, Oh, excuse me, I have to go shave my legs now, my grunting hairy caveman boyfriend is coming over soon to grab me by the hair and have his way with me.
