Subject: Rumours of three BSG TV, however Movies after season 4

Hello Dearies! (psst, there has been wine, it's after 1am on a Friday, are you shocked? :P)

The net positively abounds tonight with rumours that after season 4 wraps there shall be 3 BSG movies, the nature of which are unknown.

Information on which can be found at Galactica Sitrep http://galacticasitrep.blogspot.com/ it seems to be at the 'Sci fi are putting feelers out stage'

However, tonight Jamie Bamer did an interview, details of which can be found at http://community.livejournal.com/bamber_news/78081.html which seems to confirm that there is

A) Indeed serious talk of movies
B) The Crew are being told to not start looking for new jobs just yet

My two (admittedly inebriated) cents? It's not surprising Sci-Fi are panicking and considering tv movies, however, it seems all very sudden and last minute and I'm not getting my hopes up as it may not come to anything.

Not getting too excited (Yet!) is wise I think. I think a major hurdle to this happening is, the cast have been working on the assumption that season 4 is the end, they've all been looking for other work, some of them have other work.

This is the sort of thing that sci-fi really should have got underway months ago cause now I wont be surprised if it falls apart simply cause they cant wrangle such a large cast at such relatively short notice.

And if "Kath & Kim" fails then it may likely get a pickup. Tricia Helfer's got a talent-holding deal at Fox (mayhaps she'll turn up on Dollhouse too?!), but of the main cast I think they're the only ones with firm commitments.

As I said to esmerelda on the phone last night, Eddie and Mary would probably do a movie because they have the luxury of just doing what they want, career-wise... and there's always room for a fourth summer home ;)

Can you imagine Tricia as a new doll, or Katee as Tahmoh's FBI partner? Oh, and Eddie and/or Mary could be the parents of one of the dolls, scouring the country for their child...

Dear god, Dollhouse isn't even starting until January and I'm already getting involved!

There are no normal characters on Nip/Tuck. On the plus side, this means Sean survived crazy teddy bear chick.

Okay. Well, really, was there any doubt that the guy who gets top billing wouldn't survive? Or were they really making noises to kill off one of their main characters? I'm all for Sean dying, I can't stand him!

...but the way that she stabbed him was brutal and severe. I can't stand any of the characters in a way and yet I can't help but watch. I really want Portia De Rossi's daughter to die too. She is just truly evil. BTW if you haven't seen that season yet Sharon Gless is amazing in it. She is truly intense.

I thought Season 4 was just baaaaad (worse than the Carver season!), and by the end of it the only characters I actually felt any good feeling towards where Liz (because, *awesome*) and Kimber (how is that the an ex-porn star-turned-porn mogul-turned scientologist ended up my favourite character?). I've never liked Julia, Sean or Matt, and while I love Christian he's a total asshat too. I bailed out, but I dipped into season five for one episode - the first one with Eden (Portia de Rossi's daughter) and Matt/Kimber. Which managed to completely destroy any goodwill I had towards Kimber (yes, please, hit up some CRACK with YOUR BABY IN THE ROOM. Nice), so now I'm officially outtie. Even Bradley Cooper isn't enough to bring me back!

Oh, and I have possible good news for you - the actress who plays Eden is now a series regular on the new 90210. So unless that show gets cancelled quick smart (doubtful, I think the initial curiosity-viewer ratings will be enough to get it a full season no matter the eventual drop off) she's gone :)

Season 1 was good, season 2 brilliant but since the magnificent ending of season 2, the show has jumped the shark.

Season 3 was bad, season 4 was a fiasco. For some reason I let them lured me into watching the last season and I enjoyed the beginning(the two first episodes were bad at all)but it quickly became unwatchable. *sigh*

I've always loved Christian but they're ruining is character. Never again!

I will say this past season was rather tragic, even for NT. What happend to Julia was so very wrong, and Sharon Gless character was darker than the Carver in many ways. I am truly sick of Matt being a basically decent kid that makes the worst possible choices imaginable.
