there was a time when we all hated Kurt Busch. When he had the run-in with the cop and ended up getting fired by Roush...fired while he was the reigning champion, pretty much everyone wanted him gone. And then he went to work for Roger Penske.
Every single person who works for Penske Racing, has a meeting with him, during which Penske warns them, "You will never embarass me." I don't know if that meeting is what did it (I think it was), but Kurt Busch grew up at that time. It was like he changed over night.
Right now if I had to choose a favorite driver I would be hard pressed to choose between Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch. Dodge may tip the scale in Busch's favor.
My point is, hardly anyone actually hates Kurt Busch anymore. I haven't heard anyone saying, "That God damn Kurt Busch won again." or "Anybody but KB."

So my question then is, does anyone think we will be saying the same things about Kyle Busch in five years?

My view is no. Not unless he becomes Kurt's team mate and even then I'm not sure Kyle Busch can handle the oversight.

I think Kyle Busch is an asshole. I think he has always been an asshole and I suspect he will always be an asshole... so in reality, it's kind of stupid for us to even wish he will change.
