Went to Bristol when we did, in the "sold-out era"

Been reading several articles lately, and have received e-mails advertising tickets to tonights race, what a shame.

And all the interviews cite the economy as the main reason for seats being available, and the lack of motel rooms nearby. Well, gee whiz guys, the lack of motel rooms didn't prevent decades of sellouts, did it?

No one in Nascar is blaming the COT, the re-surfacing of the track, or the fact that Bristol, in lieu of the economy, by their own admission, hasn't lowered prices to the extant that some other events have.

Anyone hear of any drivers taking pay cuts lately to help the matter? I haven't.
