The first day of class may be a little bit intimidating for some teachers, because there are new students to (Ww) which we are not used to deal with. But what should be done in this situation? How to start a first day class in a right way? Let’s see (We) some attitudes that can make this a good start.
First, the students should be involved in the class. Have them participating actively in an activity, like a discussion, in small groups or with the whole class, for example. This may be good to encourage the students to talk more and feel interest in (Ww) the class. It is also good to introduce yourself to the class, talking a little bit about you and your experiences in work, travel or research in the area, and make the students do the same; thus, all of you will feel comfortable to share background knowledge and expectations about the course. In this first class, it is important to go through the syllabus, giving information to students about grades, exams, texts and books that will be used during the semester, try to give an overview of the subject and also establish what tone you will use in the class (relaxed, formal, personal, humorous, serious, etc.)
These little in-class tasks may help to organize a first day class’ lesson plan, and also do a kind of icebreaker with the new students, because since teacher and students are able to know each other better, their relationship inside the classroom will be softer and nicer.

Your text is really good. However you should give more examples and develop more your ideas, which are so good. You should too develop more your thesis statement, which for me was not so explicit.
