>The English Teacher of Nowadays.

> Being a teacher is a hard task,
>which comprehends many aspects of the inside and the
>outside of a classroom. Regard to the inside of a
>classroom we have lots of aspects that students and
>teachers bring with themselves such as the teachers
>and student's beliefs, worries, cultural aspects,
>their experiences, their cultural background and etc.
>For these reasons, I believe reflecting on the
>teaching practice is a manner of acquiring teacher
>responsibility and a critical view of teaching.
> Thus, regarded to all complexity
>that surrounds teaching, I believe that being a
>teacher is a profession of quite responsibility once
>you as teacher are dealing with the education of the
>other. I thank God that the way of teaching has
>developed a lot in the sense that the teacher is not
>anymore the only one responsible for the student's
>learning, but the learner is also the one who is the
>mainly responsible for his/her process of learning.
>However, I believe that the teacher is still the one

>we as teachers must show that we have values and do
>not accept certain conditions that people try to
>impose to us. I want to be respected as a lawyer is. I
>do want to receive my salary the same day as a doctor
>does.
> Because of that I believe that
>nowadays teaching is a profession that is in crisis.
>In order to teach in private English schools, teachers
>are supposed to play roles of a clown and the command
>of their bosses is to laugh and smile as many as you
>can. That is ridiculous. In my country and in many
>schools centers students are considered clients who
>their parents pay for a better education for them. For
>this reason, many students believe that they can do
>whatever they want in the classroom. The worst is that
>many "English teachers" that work in many English
>schools are not even the ones who have ever been to a
>university. They had just traveled to U.S.A no matter
>for how many days they had been there. The matter is
>regarded to the status of just being there. With such
>situation the real English teacher who have studied
>for years at a university, who have taken all the
>exams on English certifications are bad paid and in
>many cases they are not even called to work at English
>language schools. I really get quite sad and worried
>about this situation and the way that I have to
>contribute to my future profession is to not accept
>this kind of job that the teacher has to maintain at
>all costs a student enrolled in an English course. I
>really do not accept such kind of work even if I do
>really need it.
> At the
>university, I see my professors as the ones who play
>roles of heroes for me. To see that they all have
>overcame and faced all the problems of teaching and
>they are now at a respectful university is the best
>for me. My professors are a kind of example that I
>must follow and I know that they all have traced a
>hard way to be where they are today. They are still
>studying, researching and showing to us students that
>their career is an unending process of learning too.
>That's what gives me hope to be still on the way of
>teaching career.

Dear classmate, I have read your text about "English Teacher nowadays", and I found it very interesting. According to what we have to do, I guess your text is well organized, despite you havenīt used so many transitional signals to especify and control the introduction, development and conclusion sentences. There is also some words in Portuguese, that I think if itīs possible to find them in English it would be still more apropriate.
My hope is that these little observations may help you organizing your texts. Thanks and good luck.
