people,

Organizing the argumentative essay:

Paragraph 1: introduce the issue/ problem and your thesis.

Paragraph 2: for some topic, you may need to give additional information, difine terms, and explin whatever the audience needs to know to understand the issue.

Então acho melhor estruturar conforme descrito acima.

I would like to enrich the text :

a)we should say that the issue relates to academic language is supported by evidences. I suggest something like that:

“Although there isn’t a clear line separating Academic language….from everyday conversational language the distinctions among them are consistent. According to CUMMINS there is “Linguistic Evidence for the conversational/Academic Language Distinction” and this aspects of language through linguistics researches it can be identified empirically.

b)Academic language needed for academic achievement is also correlated with the function of the specific purpose of the academic language. Teacher must focus on that because in "Academic World" the function of language rely on communicate complex information. They use specific and technical vocabulary with precise meanings. It includes specialized terminology, conventional text structures, key concepts and it is related with more abstract and cognition function of language such as hypothesizing, summarizing, evaluating, analyzing, inferring, generalizing and explaining. Without direct interaction, the communication must be formal, impersonal and well structured.
