Subject: BLT's Best Plays

At the Edinburgh Festival recently I saw a wonderful performance, by three drama students, of "Somebody who'll watch over me". This reminded me of the excellent production at BLT some time ago and set me thinking about the various plays I have seen in Bingley and how I would rate them.
And then I wondered if we could stimulate a discussion on the Forum, which might tell us something about the things you like and dislike to help us in planning future programmes.
Of course there is a very large element of personal preference for the choice of play but I have tried to evaluate five factors: The quality of the writing, the quality of the acting, the quality of the directing, the quality of the set and the overall quality of the production.

My top five are (in order)

1. Visiting Mr Green
2. The Crucible
3. Somebody who'll watch over me
4. Victor/Victoria
5. The beauty queen of Leenane

Many of you will, of course, have memories going back much further than mine. But please, let us have some input to start what could be an interesting and valuable discussion.

John
