my daughter loves to compete. She just turned 4. But money isn't something we have ALOT of so steady coaching is very difficult for us. in her age group are a few girls who's parents pull out all the stops and they see a coach several times a month. M daughter will never "model" at the level they do. We dont have the money or time for that serious of coaching. So it just makes it where, any pageant where are up against those few, we know we aren't going to have a real chance at winning. For a 4 yr old to be doin toe stretches and stuff like that on a tiny stage is not only rediculous expectations, it's not safe. Kids have terrible depth perception and haven't fully learned to use perifial vision(yes, I know it's spelled wrong. you get the idea). We are lucky that nothing has happened so far.

A child under 6 should be just that. A child under 6. Young ones are so funny and full of personality if you ever sit back and watch them. I can understand older girls doing more strict modeling, but the little ones? No, a 3yr old should go on stage being 3. Not some programed little girl-bot doing the same routine all the others are doing. Teach them a few cutsey things and leave it at that.

Then it cant be said that a certain coaches' kids are winning or are the style for the year. It's the kids' style, not some coaches
