This photo was published on 21st July, two days after the final night. Gladys Zender of Lima, Peru, examines a contract in Long Beach, California, as she prepares to take up her duties as Miss Universe. She has an interested friend in Miss Ecuador, Patricia Benitez, who keeps an eager eye over Miss Zender’s shoulder.
