This photo was published on 9th July, eleven days before the final night. Miss Japan, Yoshie Baba (right), who is having trouble finding a man tall enough to suit her, samples a hot dog with Miss Israel, Sara Tal (left), at Long Beach, California, where they are vying in the Miss Universe contest. According to Miss Japan, all the men in Japan are short and her five-foot five puts her above them. She wants somebody with a Farley Granger personality but taller.
