This photo was published on 12th July, eight days before the final night. The titles of Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Friendship, Miss Most Photogenic and Miss Most Popular are up for grabs at the competitions currently taking place in Long Beach, California. On the program of the famous beauty contest, an exhibition of costumes typical of the countries represented. Above, from left to right. Elaine Bishenden, our Miss Canada, in Royal Canadian Mounted Police uniform; Iris Waller, Miss England, in riding costume; and Barbara Sellar, Miss Alaska, wrapped in Eskimo furs.
