This photo was published on 12th July, eight days before the final night. None of the Miss Universe winners have had successful contracts with Universal-International studios. Miss U.S.A. 1952, Jackie Loughery, stayed in movie circles for a while and Miss U.S.A. 1953, Myrna Hansen, appeared in several pictures for Universal-International and now is under contract to Metro-Goldwyn Mayer.
