Subject: Chapt. 28 Q1) I don't know if it was "wise", but it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't choose to do so, at least not in my current situation. First, with three young boys at home I wouldn't want to expose them to possible harm. And second, I really don't have the energy right now to deal with anyone who has this level of problems. The Republic is enjoying prosperity right now and probably isn't too keen on having the poorer North brought into the fold, not to mention wanting to bring in the social and religious divide that -- Carla, 06:24:43 09/19/07 Wed
  • Economically speaking the North is probably on par with the South right now and the economy in the South is on a gradual slowdown. I think what would really hamper the two countries rejoining is the one million Protestants. :) (NT) -- celtgirl, 08:05:07 09/19/07 Wed
