The US Civil Rights movement, too - like The Troubles, it's hard to believe that in a so-called enlightened age such things could happen. This world is just nuts. When I see pictures of Darfur, I am ashamed that we are not helping more. Not seeking a political debate here, just conveying my sadness and disgust. And so much of the horrors are aimed at women, too. Always attack the most vulnerable and least likely to hit back - that seems to be the universal first rule of warfare. -- Cindy's Cottage
