All the reasons that you pointed out, Susie, are why he leaves at the end of the book. He knows what's going on isn't fair to any of them and so he leaves, because he doesn't see it ending unless he takes himself away from her. I have plans for Jamie, no worries there. :) In fact in the first scene in which he appears in the third book, he's wearing a ring and that's about it. ;) -- Cindy's Cottage
