Well, it's been awhile since I've been here! Not sure if anyone remembers me, but I hope I can still jump in late! I've had a lot going on the last couple of years, and am just catching up both here and at Lallybroch. Cindy - I'm so glad to see you're still working on Angels - can't wait! I recently re-read EU and Mermaid (again!), so I'd love to jump in on the discussions. In Ch 12, when Jaime recounts his story about the boys, I get teary every time. To answer the questions, I think it's a combination of choice and destiny of course. One's past certainly plays an important role in the choices they make, and in that sense, you could say it's destiny. But one always has a choice, I think, even though the past definitely colors that choice. -- Cindy's Cottage
