Subject: I don't cry often when I read, which is funny because a Hallmark card commercial can get me weeping easily (I know I'm a visual learner, etc, but really!) but Cindy's writing has had me sobbing often. I must admit, the emotions run highest where his Lordship is concerned, but you might have guessed that *g*.
In reply to: Carla 's message, "Cindy has a way of getting to the heart of the matter, of finding the hidden emotions, motivations and depths in a character and bringing us wise words through them. Some that stand out to me in these two particular chapters include: Clothilde offering Jamie this bit of wisdom: "Bitterness is a very bad thing, James, try never to drink from it's cup for the taste can become appealing in a perverse fashion. Just a few sips are enough to make an addict." pp. 163 - 4; the scene when the nurse tells Jamie wee Stuart is asking his permission to go never fails to break my heart and make me cry, p. 168." on 18:25:35 07/06/09 Mon
