• I think if I would have been in Pamela's shoes I would have given Jamie the ol' F-You. He had his chance and he didn't take it. He had MANY chances, but didn't take them. To suddenly come clean about how he feels now that's she's unavailable is such crap. I love Jamie, but this particular situation upsets me.   • I want to apologize if this post seemed rather harsh. I have been in a situation similiar to this and it was so upsetting and painful. I really do love Jamie and I know that he's tortured himself over this whole situation. He loves her, but I think sabotaged himself. • Somehow, and don't ask me to fully explain it, I feel as though Jamie subconsciously sabotaged himself where Pamela is concerned. He was dragging his feet all that time she was living with Casey. Technically he didn't require a formal divorce, but he must have felt a strong need for it. I think Pamela is right when she alludes to his still being linked to Colleen despite his actions here. I wavered between pitying him in this chapter and wanting to reach out and smack him. I suppose he's entitled to a little self-indulgence once in awhile. He might seem like a machine at times, but he's only a man. The water/weapons scene was great. Those touches of humor during tension make the characters all the more real to me.   • That's what this scene is partly- he's jealous, his feelings aren't necessarily proper or acceptable, but they're there and he's feeling a welter of things and slinging it at Pamela. • If Pamela hadn't married Casey I don't think Jamie would have ever admitted to loving her, and he certainly wouldn't have done so if he'd been sober. Was it fair of him to tell her and behave in such a way? No. But it was certainly human. (NT) -- Carla, 20:05:01 07/19/09 Sun
