Not really, no, and there aren't even trees on the hill where I have his house located, so I really did make Jamie's house in my mind, as well as the land surrounding it. There are some gorgeous old Georgian homes though, that did inspire me in one of the very tony neighbourhoods in Belfast, called Knockdean. We went walking there one night and ended up having a smoke (well, I didn't smoke but Jeannine did- and I tell you smoking allows you alls sorts of social contact you can't comfortably get otherwise) with a group of butlers of all things.
