• Oh Lord, that picture is definitely worth a thousand words, all of them x-rated, I might add. I have to share a picture of my own. We've been watching 'The Wire' and are totally hooked. This season there's a new character- Tommy Carcetti, but the reason he totally arrests me is because he is so dang close to my mental image of Love Hagerty, and he plays a slick politician. • I love the beginning of this book, with Casey "marking his territory" so to speak ;) Through his conversations with the bartender and then the gull, we get some wonderful insights into what's happening with Casey, how he's feeling, what his troubles are. Adn that picture, oh my blessed God, it's just too much for words. As Cindy always says, he looks very post-coital and as if he could be coital at the drop of a hat (or his pants, as it were). No build-up, no leisurely getting back into their lives...just BAM, you're sucked right in. I read the part about Deidre through a veil of tears, that was heartbreaking. • Oh my that pic! Forget the caffeine..now that's the way to get the pulse jumping :) I do love how Pamela goes right to Casey and ignores the men at the bar. Sort of staking her claim as well. My heart ached for them over their daughter. They've been through so much already why can't they catch a break? I know...where's the drama in that. But one can hope. • What a great way to start a book - loved this chapter. And here, dummy me, thinking the big threat to the Riordan's happiness would be Eliot. Naive, eh? The conversations with both the bartender and the gull were pure Casey. What really struck me about this chapter is that here was a setting where Casey felt completely out of his element, and yet Jamie would have fit right in.
