Most of the time I will reach a point where I can be comfortable again, but there are a few events from my past which feel raw even now, many years later. Whatever you experience is what's appropriate; it's different for everyone I think. What I find unusual is that I can usually hold it together during the crisis time, while everyone else is losing it.
