Subject: I agree,,, modern days have brought some good things for sure. I wanna say, tomorrow I will celebrate my 27th wedding anniversary. I have been trying to keep the glow going too as I approach 50,,, just turned 47 this past summer,,,, so it is close. Not too hard to do when you still love your husband after all these many years,,, and still love being with him in "those ways". We may have some major disagreements at times, but the flame still burns strong.
In reply to: Elaine 's message, "LOL - lucky you, Denise! I think that modern moisturizers and other 'remedies' have helped turn back time a bit. There was a discussion here about one of our local ethnic (western European) populations. Photos were shown of a tiny woman, hunched over, wearing a dark lace shawl and carrying a string bag of sorts. She had the look of someone well into her 80's (as perceived by me and most of the audience). The photo was taken in the 1930's or 40's. And the surprising thing was the age of the woman. She was barely over 50 years of age! Clearly, things have changed, but what an interesting take on local history." on 06:23:44 10/24/07 Wed
