  • 84.2) I'm not sure just why, but I like David very much, I think he adds something - don't ask me exactly what - to the story. Maybe because he represents the positive aspects of the other side? He is honorable and caring. Those are qualities the other main characters have, also. Even when one of them resorts to violence; it is never a random act, or without sound reason.   • Somehow, reading your post, it struck me how alone the main characters are. They walk a knife's edge that makes it very difficult to have close friends, because who can they trust?
