I don't know what the problem is, but my kids, esp. DS2 got himself into trouble in a variety of ways. He's working now, becoming quite reasonable and is the more loving of the two. They go through stages, each child is different, and usually they have to learn from their own mistakes. Forget trying to impart wisdom, it doesn't work, they have to sort it all out for themselves.
