He doesn't so much visit Russia as get stuck there. This of course was Communist Russia, with Gulags still firmly in place etc. Russian Lit. was one of my minors in college and I am endlessly fascinated by Russia. Once Andrei came into the picture I knew that Jamie would get tangled up in Russia somehow. He won't be there for the whole book, but it looks like much of it thus far. Carla asked me if book three would be the last one- I answered that I know the last line and the last chapter and that you all would hunt me down and shoot me if I left it hanging there. :)

There are also a couple of women on the scene, some big surprises for Jamie and a bit of a parapsychology kind of storyline...
